Since 1983, the Foundation of the Association of Energy Engineers, with its Scholarship Program, has helped students in energy engineering, energy management, environmental engineering, and sustainability. We are proud to support young professionals eager to make a positive and meaningful difference in the world by investing in their educational journey.

Dedicated Scholarships

The Foundation distributes specific funds dedicated to individuals that have contributed to the growth and success of the Foundation.

Al Thumann Award

Honoring the late founder and Executive Director of the Association of Energy Engineers. Known as the “Father of energy efficiency.”

The top three applicants will be awarded $5,000.

 

Ruth Whitlock Award

Honoring the former Executive Administrator for serving AEE Members for 35 years by championing chapter leadership and advocating for young students and women’s career empowerment.

The top international female will be awarded $2,500.

Konstantin Lobodovsky Award

Honoring one of AEE’s Past President and Hall of Fame recipient.

One $2,000 scholarship will be awarded each year. 

Greg Galvin Award

AEE Fellow and certified energy professional recognized for his commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability.

One $1,500 scholarship will be awarded each year. 

Mark Nieman Award

In recognition of his contributions to our profession and organization.

$1,000 scholarships will be awarded each year through the Pacific Northwest AEE Chapter.
