Congratulations to the 2025 Scholarship Recipients

The Foundation of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) is proud to award 56 scholarships totaling $66,000 to a remarkable group of students from across the globe. These talented individuals represent the next generation of leaders committed to advancing a clean and sustainable future.

This year, we introduced the Professor Esther Chow and Family Scholarship, celebrating the profound legacies of two exceptional individuals:

  • Dr. Leonard Chow, Founder and current Director of ISPL Consulting Limited, brings over four decades of unparalleled experience in structural engineering, energy management, and environmental impact. His distinguished career is marked by numerous professional awards, appointments to boards of world renowned organizations.
  • Dr. Esther Chow dedicated her life to educating hundreds of professionals at the City University of Hong Kong, profoundly impacting social and health professions. A leading researcher, Dr. Chow championed the belief that “Individuals can be empowered to face life challenges with resilience”. Her groundbreaking work on the effects of practice on Public Policy in higher education and healthcare, alongside her renewed academic publications in SAGE and Routledge, exemplify her unwavering commitment to progress and empowerment.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to AEE’s local chapters, student chapters, and the many individual contributors whose generosity makes these scholarships possible. Your support empowers rising energy professionals and drives meaningful progress in our industry. Join us in shaping the future! Consider making a contribution to the Foundation of AEE: Donate Here.
